Hebron - Tamkeen Palestinian Insurance Company celebrated the opening of its branch in Hebron under the patronage of the Governor of Hebron Governorate, Major General Jibreen Al Bakri, with the participation of its Honorary Chairman HE Mr. Rafiq Al Natsheh, and the Chairman of its Board of Directors, HE Dr. Majid Atta al Helo, General manager  Mr. Mohammed Al-Rimawi, Chairman of the Shari'a Supervisory Board, Dr. Hussam Al-Din Affaneh, and members of Tamkeen's Board of Directors, in addition to number of businessmen, representatives of various institutions and legal persons in Hebron.

The opening ceremony of the company's branch, which operates in accordance with the Shari’a law, coincided with the launch of its services in most of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The company will organize a series of activities in the governorates and cities to celebrate the launching of its services in parallel with a huge advertising and promotion campaign launched this month.

Al Bakri praised the company's initiative, adding that its joining the insurance sector represents a strong addition to it.

In addition, he pointed out in his speech that the opening of the branch in Hebron means a lot to the people of the province, and reflects the care of the company and its operators to invest and deliver the services of the company to the widest possible segment of the public.

He explained that the launch of Tamkeen enhances the competitiveness of the insurance sector, which will benefit the citizen.

Al Natsheh consider that the company's emergence came in response to the public's need and the importance of providing Islamic insurance services.

He pointed to the excellence of the staff of the company, which has extensive experience in the insurance field of insurance, noting the vitality of the contribution of the Shari’a Supervisory Board to enhance the role of the company and its activity.

He explained that the company was complementary to the other companies operating in the insurance field, which is beneficial to the citizen and the national economy.

For his part, Al-Helo stressed that the company came to make a qualitative leap in the insurance sector and achieve a success story on this level.

He pointed out that the company looks forward to presenting a model to be followed at the national level, noting that the company is the result of cooperation between a group of businessmen and a number of institutions and companies in the public and private sectors, Most notably the institution for the Management and Development of Orphans' Funds and the Palestinian Pension Agency.

Moreover, He pointed to the company's keenness to spread and access its services to all segments of society, indicating that it will end the opening of branches in the West Bank before the end of this year.

He also pointed to the company's commitment to work to reduce unemployment, noting the vitality of its contribution in creating jobs for youth in various governorates.

Affaneh presented an overview of the Islamic insurance "Cooperative", pointing to the growing international presence. And he stated that the number of Islamic insurance companies around the world, reached by the end of last year 308 companies, while the size of the cooperative insurance market to more than 20 billion dollars.

Al-Rimawi pointed out that Tamkeen's presence in Hebron was not a coincidence, but rather a reflection of the company's understanding of the importance of the Hebron governorate on the economic and national levels.
