Jenin - Under the patronage of the Governor of Jenin Governorate, Major General Ibrahim Ramadan, Tamkeen Palestine Insurance Company celebrated the opening of its branch in the city, in the presence of its Excellency Honorary Chairman Mr. Rafiq Al Natsheh, its Excellency Chairman Dr. Majed Al Helo, its General Manager Mr. Mohammad Rimawi, and member of the Sharia Supervisory Board in the company Dr. Jamal Al-Kilani, as well as representatives of its Board of Directors and Executive Management, and representatives of public and private institutions.
Ramadan welcomed the opening of tamkeen branch in the city, stressing the importance of this step at all levels, the most important of which is to provide direct and indirect job opportunities, in addition to expanding the options for the participants of insurance services, which will positively affect the quality of services provided to them.
He also pointed out the need to encourage and support new investments, mainly national investments, especially in the Jenin governorate.
From his side, Natsheh stressed that the idea of establishing an insurance company operating in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia, which was developed as a result of market studies from experts, has shown an increase in the demand for this type of insurance solutions and services.
Moreover, focused on the vitality complementary of the role between the insurance companies operating in Palestine, to protect the national wealth, and he praised the role of the company's management and staff in supporting the company's progress and moving forward.
He pointed out that the board of directors of the company is moving confidently towards achieving the company's vision for a qualitative leap in the Palestinian insurance sector to serve shareholders and customers, "insurance policyholders" alike, and to achieve the best returns for each of them in the framework of transparency and governance.
He explained that Tamkeen reflects the integration between the public and private sectors in building competitive investment arms in the Palestinian market, explaining that the company is based in its work to the latest international standards and developments in the insurance sector.
In addition, he praised the sponsorship of President Mahmoud Abbas for the company, pointing out Tamkeen's keenness to cover various governorates and provide better service in accordance with the provisions of the Sharia.
For his part “Al-Rimawi” pointed out, that Tamkeen is making a significant leap forward in its traditional services, based on best practices in managing its internal operations, adapting modern technology, and providing innovative insurance services and solutions that the company will soon launch in the Palestinian market, and internationally known as "Micro Insurance" targeting low-income segments of society to cover their non-target needs in traditional insurance services currently on the market.
He also stressed the commitment of the executive management to the rapid response and compensation through the adoption of internal performance indicators specific to the relevant departments to achieve this commitment, considering that the credibility of insurance companies reflected in the ability to implement this promise.
Al-Kilani gave a brief explanation on the Islamic insurance fundamentals and the mechanism of its implementation, explaining the importance of this type of insurance to achieve cooperation and empowerment among the members of the society.
Recall that the Company was established with a capital of $ 8 million and recently opened more than 12 direct and indirect selling points in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
